Our goal was to create a piece highlighting the craft, consideration, and story of Lichen and Karimoku’s latest collaboration.

Ed Be and Jared Blake of Lichen speak on the origins of the ZE Sofa, what it expresses, and how the collection was brought to life.

Joining Lichen in conversation is legendary musician Takuya Nakamura, friend and frequent visitor of the store.

The short film was screened in Soho at Lichen’s weekend popup in December, 2025.
